Now, let’s brainstorm in order to pick a topic for the book you will write on your own. Remember that a topic is the subject the author is going to write about. Since you are the author think about what you will write about and then in your composition book list 3 topics and circle the topic you want to use as your subject.

Social Studies
Parents watch Earth is Our Home-Let’s Protect It/National Geographic with your child. Explain how important it is for humans to learn how to conserve nature. Then, in their composition book help them answer the questions below in complete sentences. (answers are not in video help your child brainstorm)
1. Why do we need to conserve nature?
2. What happens if an animal species goes extinct?
3. What happens if there aren’t any more natural resources?
3. Can humans live in a world without animals or resources? Why not?
