WE ARE IN CHAPTER 13, CITIZENSHIP AND THE FAMILY

CURRENT EVENTSDID YOU KNOW?  OUR CIVICS CLASS  KNOWS ITS HISTORY.  ON THE NEWS TODAY, THE NEWSCASTERS REFERENCED THE CASE OF EMMETT TILL, AS THEY DISCUSSED TWO NEWS STORIES INVOLVING CIVIL RIGHTS.  DO WE LEARN LESSONS FROM HISTORY?  SOMETIMES, WE DO, BUT SOMETIMES IT DOESN’T SEEM THAT WAY.  WE DID, HOWEVER,  DISCUSS THE LESSONS WE LEARNED FOR THE CURRENT PANDEMIC FROM THE “SPANISH FLU,”  OF 1918  AND THE POLIO EPIDEMIC.  YOU, MY CLASS, NEED LEARN THE LESSONS AND HELP MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

IN THE TEXTBOOK, DEFINE THE KEY TERMS OF CHAPTER 13 ON PAGE 317.  DEFINE ALL THREE SECTIONS, AS WELL AS THE ACADEMIC VOCABULARY.  DO NOT USE THE INTERNET FOR THE DEFINITIONS.  USE THE TEXTBOOK!  THE PAGES WHERE YOU WILL FIND THE WORDS ARE LISTED NEXT TO THE WORDS.
