READING:  TODAY, WE START A NEW STORY SELECTION IN THE TEXTBOOK, A VERY IMPORTANT DAY,  ON PAGES 524 TO 537.  IT IS AN INFORMATIONAL NARRATIVE,  WHICH IS A STORY THAT PRESENTS INFORMATION AND FACTS.  FIRST, READ VOCABULARY POWER ON PAGES 522 AND 523.  THEN, DEFINE THE VOCABULARY WORDS ON PAGE 522, PETITIONERS TO RESOUNDED,  USING THE GLOSSARY IN THE BACK OF THE TEXTBOOK.  YOU WILL READ THESE NEW WORDS IN OUR STORY.

SPELLING:  THE /EL/ SOUND THAT YOU HEAR AT THE END OF BOTTLE AND ACTUAL CAN BE SPELLED –LE  OR –AL.   OUR NEW WEEKLY SPELLING WORDS, CONNECTED TO OUR STORY SELECTION,  ARE:  TABLE,  FINAL,  HANDLE,  PERSONAL,  ANIMAL, USUAL,  JUNGLE,  ACTUAL,  EXAMPLE,  BOTTLE,  POSSIBLE,  SINGLE,  SEVERAL, NATIONAL, HOSPITAL, TROUBLE,  CANDLE,  DIAL,  EQUAL,  JINGLE.  NEXT,  WRITE EACH ONE OF OUR NEW SPELLING WORDS 5X.
