WORLD GEOGRAPHY ASSIGNMENT FOR WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 16, 2020

 

WE ARE SPENDING THIS WEEK PREPARING FOR OUR TEXTBOOK CHAPTER 1 TEST ON MONDAY.  IN CHAPTER 1 WE LEARNED ABOUT THE GEOGRAPHER AND THE CARTOGRAPHER.  WE HAVE ENHANCED OUR MAP SKILLS AND OUR GRAPHING SKILLS.  THE TITLE OF CHAPTER 1, HOW GEOGRAPHERS LOOK AT THE WORLD, IS CERTAINLY AN APPROPRIATE ONE.

THE ASSIGNMENT FOR TONIGHT IS TO ANSWER THE FOLLOWING FOUR QUESTIONS IN COMPLETE SENTENCES WITH A COMPLETE FLP HEADING.

  1. WHAT FIVE THEMES ARE IMPORTANT TO THE STUDY OF GEOGRAPHY?
  2. NAME 4 PARTS OR ELEMENTS OF A MAP.
  3. HOW DO GEOGRAPHERS USE THEMES?
  4. MAKE A GRAPHIC ORGANIZER LISTING 5 MAP PROJECTIONS WITH THEIR ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES.

 

GOVERNMENT ASSIGNMENT FOR WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2020

 

WE CONTINUE WITH THE FACT THAT ONE OF THE GOALS OF THIS COURSE IS THAT STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED IN THE WORLD THAT INFLUENCED OUR FOUNDING FATHERS, WHEN THEY WERE FORMING OUR GOVERNMENT.  WE ARE SPENDING THIS WEEK REVIEWING CHAPTER 1 IN THE TEXTBOOK IN PREPARATION FOR OUR CHAPTER 1 TEST ON THURSDAY.  CHAPTER 1 IS THE BEGINNINGS OF AMERICAN GOVERNMENT.  TOMORROW’S TEST WILL BE DUE FRIDAY BEFORE 11:20 AM IN ORDER TO RECEIVE FULL CREDIT.
