WORLD GEOGRAPHY ASSIGNMENT FOR THURSDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2020

 

WE SPENT FIRST MARKING PERIOD STUDYING CHAPTER 1, HOW GEOGRAPHERS LOOK AT THE WORLD, IN OUR TEXTBOOK.  WE LEARNED ABOUT THE GEOGRAPHER AND THE CARTOGRAPHER.  WE HAVE ALSO ENHANCED OUR MAP SKILLS AND OUR GRAPHING SKILLS.

THEN, WE STUDIED CHAPTER 2, LOOKING AT THE EARTH, IN OUR TEXTBOOK.  WE LEARNED ABOUT THE NATURE AND STRUCTURE OF THE EARTH AND THE FORCES THAT AFFECT THE SURFACE OF THE EARTH , THE SETTING FOR HUMAN LIFE.

WE ARE NOW BEGINNING CHAPTER 3, CLIMATES OF THE EARTH.  WE WILL STUDY WHY CLIMATE IS A SIGNIFICANT FACTOR IN DESCRIBING THE GEOGRAPHY OF PLACES ON THE EARTH. 

WE ARE FINISHED CHAPTER 3, SECTION 1, EARTH-SUN RELATIONSHIPS AND ARE WORKING ON  SECTION 2, FACTORS AFFECTING CLIMATE.

 

YOUR ASSIGNMENT FOR TODAY IS AS FOLLOWSFIRST, REREAD PAGES 48 TO 51, IN THE TEXTBOOK, CHAPTER 3, SECTION 2, FACTORS AFFECTING CLIMATE THEN, ON PAGE 60, ANSWER IN COMPLETE SENTENCES THE QUESTIONS UNDER REVIEWING FACTS, SECTION 1 AND SECTION 2, #’S 13, 14, 15, AND 16.

GOVERNMENT ASSIGNMENT FOR THURSDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2020

 

WE HAVE COMPLETED CHAPTER 1 IN THE TEXTBOOK, BEGINNINGS OF AMERICAN GOVERNMENT.  AS PART OF OUR SOCIAL STUDIES EXPERIENCE, WE HAVE ALSO ENHANCED OUR MAP SKILLS.

OUR GROUPS, THE SENATE AND THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, HAVE COMPLETED CHAPTER 2, CREATION OF AMERICAN GOVERNMENT, IN OUR TEXTBOOK.  IN THAT CHAPTER, WE LEARNED THAT AFTER THE AMERICANS DEFEATED THE BRITISH IN THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR, THEY HAD ANOTHER BIG CHALLENGE.  HOW WOULD THE COUNTRY BE GOVERNED?  CHAPTER 2 DISCUSSED THE CREATION OF THE CONSTITUTION.   WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A CAREFUL STUDY OF CHAPTER 3, A LOOK AT THE CONSTITUTION.  WE ARE LEARNING ABOUT THE INDIVIDUAL PARTS OF THE CONSTITUTION.

 

TODAY’S ASSIGNMENT IS AS FOLLOWS:

SENATE – READ IN THE TEXTBOOK ALL OF CHAPTER 3, LESSON 4, AMENDMENTS TWO THROUGH TEN, PAGES 55 THROUGH 58.  THEN, IN THE WORKBOOK, COMPLETE WORKBOOK ACTIVITY 15, THE BILL OF RIGHTS

DON’T FORGET YOUR COMPLETE FLP HEADING.

 

HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES – BE SURE THAT YOU HAVE READ IN THE TEXTBOOK, CHAPTER 3, LESSON 3,  PAGES 51 THROUGH 54., THE BILL OF RIGHTS: FIRST AMENDMENT THEN, ON PAGE 54, ANSWER THE QUESTIONS IN THE LESSON 3 REVIEW, #’S 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, AND 6 IN COMPLETE SENTENCES.
