WORLD GEOGRAPHY ASSIGNMENT FOR MONDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 2020

 

WE SPENT FIRST MARKING PERIOD STUDYING CHAPTER 1, HOW GEOGRAPHERS LOOK AT THE WORLD, IN OUR TEXTBOOK.  WE LEARNED ABOUT THE GEOGRAPHER AND THE CARTOGRAPHER.  WE HAVE ALSO ENHANCED OUR MAP SKILLS AND OUR GRAPHING SKILLS.

THEN, WE STUDIED CHAPTER 2, LOOKING AT THE EARTH, IN OUR TEXTBOOK.  WE LEARNED ABOUT THE NATURE AND STRUCTURE OF THE EARTH AND THE FORCES THAT AFFECT THE SURFACE OF THE EARTH , THE SETTING FOR HUMAN LIFE.

WE ARE NOW STUDYING CHAPTER 3, CLIMATES OF THE EARTH.  WE ARE LEARNING WHY CLIMATE IS A SIGNIFICANT FACTOR IN DESCRIBING THE GEOGRAPHY OF PLACES ON THE EARTH. 

WE HAVE FINISHED CHAPTER 3, SECTION 1,  EARTH-SUN RELATIONSHIPS  AND SECTION 2,  FACTORS AFFECTING CLIMATE.  WE NOW IN SECTION 3, WORLD CLIMATE PATTERNS.

 

YOUR ASSIGNMENT FOR TODAY IS AS FOLLOWSFIRST, REREAD IN THE TEXTBOOK, CHAPTER 3, SECTION 3, WORLD CLIMATE PATTERNS, PAGES 54 THROUGH 57.  THEN, ON PAGE 57, IN THE SECTION 3 REVIEW, COMPLETE QUESTIONS #’S  2, 3, 4, AND 5.   FINALLY, ON PAGE 58, READ UNDERSTANDING SCALE AND ANSWER THE QUESTIONS PRACTICING THE SKILL, #’S 1 – 4.  ALL QUESTIONS MUST BE IN COMPLETE SENTENCES TO RECEIVE FULL CREDIT.

GOVERNMENT ASSIGNMENT FOR MONDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 2020

 

WE HAVE COMPLETED CHAPTER 1 IN THE TEXTBOOK, BEGINNINGS OF AMERICAN GOVERNMENT.  AS PART OF OUR SOCIAL STUDIES EXPERIENCE, WE HAVE ALSO ENHANCED OUR MAP SKILLS.

OUR GROUPS, THE SENATE AND THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, HAVE COMPLETED CHAPTER 2, CREATION OF AMERICAN GOVERNMENT, IN OUR TEXTBOOK.  IN THAT CHAPTER, WE LEARNED THAT AFTER THE AMERICANS DEFEATED THE BRITISH IN THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR, THEY HAD ANOTHER BIG CHALLENGE.  HOW WOULD THE COUNTRY BE GOVERNED?  CHAPTER 2 DISCUSSED THE CREATION OF THE CONSTITUTION.

WE CURRENTLY ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A CAREFUL STUDY OF CHAPTER 3, A LOOK AT THE CONSTITUTION.  WE ARE LEARNING ABOUT THE INDIVIDUAL PARTS OF THE CONSTITUTION.

 

TODAY’S ASSIGNMENT IS AS FOLLOWS:

SENATEFIRST, READ IN THE TEXTBOOK, PAGES 59 THROUGH 61, LESSON 5, AMENDMENTS ELEVEN THROUGH FIFTEEN.   THEN, ON PAGE 61, ANSWER IN LESSON 5 REVIEW QUESTIONS #’S 1 – 5  AND IN WHAT DO YOU THINK, ALSO ON PAGE 61,  QUESTIONS #’S  6 & 7.
