Black History Month Presentation Project
Our students have been learning about, writing, creating art work and practicing for their ‘Black History Month Presentation Project’. They have been working both individually and in groups to construct a narrative based on research of their character; which they will present in an assembly on February 28th.
We need the following from parents:
This weekend and next week please assist your child with writing their 1-minute presentation on their character. Please have them practice their presentation several times, memorize it if possible (but not required). Students need to be familiar and comfortable with presenting the information.
Please create a costume with items around the house for your student to wear. No need to go on a shopping spree. All costumes and the written presentations need to be in school by Tues, Feb. 25. The costumes will remain in school and we will be doing two dress rehearsals next Wednesday and Thursday.
Friday, Feb 28th is SHOWTIME!
As a treat, Monday, March 2nd we will be have a ‘V.I.P. Cast Pizza Party’ hosted by Mr. Harris.
