Task #5: One Second Every Day

In this short TED Talk, Cesar Kuriyama explains a project that he is doing, which he would like to encourage others to try also. Each day he records video of certain moments that he has experienced during his day. Then he chooses one second from his recordings each day to create a video record of his life containing one second every day.

In MS Word answer the following questions (be sure to include a proper HEADING in the header and Save As, Last Name_TED TALK3 and save in your folder):

BEFORE YOU WATCH THE VIDEO answer the following:

  1. Do you like to take videos of your experiences? What types of things do you most often record?
  2. Do you like taking pictures? What do you mostly take pictures of?
  3. Choose one picture in your phone? Explain a little about the picture: where it was taken, who was there, the occasion, etc.
  4. Why do you think Cesar K decided to do this project?
  5. What do you think would be the biggest challenges with doing this project?

AFTER YOU WATCH THE VIDEO answer the following:

  1. Who is Cesar Kuriyama?
  2. What inspired him to do the project? What did he hope to achieve with this project?
  3. What happened when he forgot to take the video one day?
  4. He describes a period at time when he found it difficult to continue with the videos. What made it difficult?
  5. Why does he encourage others to try this project?
