A. Do Now

If you have not already done so, log into Khan Academy with the class code below or create a new account with Khan Academy where it says Join Khan Academy Group A:

Press “Create a new account”. Enter your date of birth, then sign up using your school email

Enter your grade and course. Now you’re ready to start learning!

B. Lesson – Supercharge Your Goals (NEW)

In Khan Academy complete the lesson Supercharge Your Goals, then your reflection.

C. Self Reflection (NEW)

  1. Write your SMART goal. What is something you care about doing well—in or outside of school? Write a SMART goal to help you learn to do your chosen thing well.
2. After writing your goal. What are you going to do to increase your chance of success?
  • How does setting a goal help support growth?
  • What is an example of a measurable goal?
  • What is an example o a non-measurable goal?
3. Now show how you are going to increase your chance of success.
  • Visualize victory. Draw a picture of success, or write something you will say when you reach your goal.
  • Name the obstacles. Examples include distractions such as video games, your cell phone, and social media.
  • Make a plan to conquer the obstacles. Examples include limiting—or eliminating!—time spent on the distractions you identified.
  • Name your goal. Write a name for your goal. Be creative! Examples include “best goal ever” and “boss goal”.
