March is Women’s History Month and all month we will be discussing powerful women who have changed the world.
Spring Break will be April 3rd -7th  and students will be required to complete Read Everyday Project.

Updated information about spring break project!

The R. E. D (Read Every Day) project will be a nightly reading log during spring break. This project will promote fluency, and comprehension skills to your child. This assignment will be sent home the week before spring break, and will be worth 25 points.

Students will be responsible for reading one whole story (cover to last page) everyday during Spring Break. Parents are responsible for appropriately logging the book title, date, and completing with a signature. Each child’s folder will contain directions for assignment, a few short stories, and reading log materials. I greatly encourage students to practice reading books from home. The reading log contains 14 slots, Students are only required to fill out 7 (one for everyday during spring Break).

Again, this assignment will be worth 25 points (more than any assignment we have had this year) grades will be impacted if this assignment is late, or not completed appropriately.

Thank you for all that you do! Please let me know if you have any questions. Via a note in your child’s take-home folder, or giving the school a call. ~ Ms. Trujillo
