We will be reviewing materials together all this week to get ready for your 1st semester exams, which will start next week on Tuesday, Jan 19th. Monday, Jan 18th school will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King day.

Review Schedule
Monday Jan. 11th – Friday Jan 15th – Each day you will be assigned practice exercises to complete and return to me that day. All practice work must be completed and returned to me each day for you to sit for your exams. Failure to turn in any of these assignments during review week will result in a full letter grade reduction on that exam for each day late. Friday’s practice work must be turned in not later than noon on Monday, so there is time for me to review and grade it.

Each test day you will take 1/3 of your exam while I proctor, during your regularly scheduled Zoom class. I must be able to see you fully for the entire 30 minutes of class – this may require you to adjust your camera. If you are not on camera, or are seen using your phone, or speaking with anyone else during the exam period, you will receive a ‘0’ for that portion of the exam. You will have the 30 minutes during that class to complete the exam. Before class begins, you must have a sheet of notebook paper out and ready. Head the paper with your name, class, the date and title it: 1st Semester Exam English. You will be required to show this paper prior to beginning the exam.
You will be submitting your answers only. Number the blank paper the same as the exams. At the end of the 30 minutes, take a picture of the paper and email it to me. All exams must be emailed to me within 2 minutes of the end of that Zoom class, or will result in a grade of ‘0’.
Do all of the assigned practice work during the review week diligently and you should do well on the exams. Good luck!
